About Us

Updated April 1, 2011
Woodcrafts, a family owned and operated business by us, Art, Betty and Richard Hall, was established in 1983. When we first started making wood products, we initially opened a retail shop next to our home and began teaching tole painting classes on our wood products. Our mission was to make fine quality wood products at a reasonable price. Within two years, we started selling our products at wholesale price to retailers, and later became involved with the SDP (Society of Decorative Painters) and started doing the “show circuit”. Our product line began to grow as our customer base began to increase in both the retail market and the wholesale market throughout the years.
We specialize in making the traditional shaker boxes, that’s what we call them. Some people call them cheese boxes, hat boxes, bentwood boxes, we just know our boxes are the finest quality wood boxes you will find on the market, worldwide.
Today at Woodcrafts, we are still at it and looking forward to the future, we are not doing as many shows but still making saw dust fly in the shop. Check out our 2011 Show Schedule or come by and see us if in the area.
Please come by and visit us if you are ever in the southern Indiana area. You may contact us via email or by telephone (1-800-733-4820) We look forward to your visit.

Betty and Art Hall, Owners
